Stefano De Lorenzo and Morihiro Onodera

We invite you to experience a very special culinary event, “Chef2”, featuring legendary Michelin starred chefs Stefano De Lorenzo and Morihiro Onodera as they artfully fuse Italian and Japanese cuisine. The two-night performance cuisine will take place at Santa Monica’s landmark Italian restaurant La Botte (620 Santa Monica Blvd.) on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19.

The Michelin-starred virtuosos will artfully fuse decadent Italian and minimalist Japanese cuisine for two special nights

The ten-course collaborative menu will be priced at $125 (wine not included) and features:

Abalone
Matsutake mushrooms, Parmesan broth
Trout, morel and shiitake
White truffle risotto, sea weed broth (first crop rice from Mori’s farm, Uruguay)
Lasagna 
Duck ravioli, Tokyo negi, espresso sauce, grapes
Almond milk sorbet
Branzino, tomato water
Oxtail, daikon, nasturtium flower
Mushroom gelato

After selling his restaurant Mori Sushi in 2011, Onodera began making handmade ceramic plates and earthenware for several Michelin starred restaurants in Los Angeles. All courses for “Chef2” will be served on Onodera’s latest artistic creations.
